We'd like to draw your attention to the call for abstracts for the upcoming CLIVAR Open Science Conference, "Charting the course for climate and ocean research," to be held in Qingdao, China this September (Sunday 18th September to Sunday 25th September 2016).
The deadline for abstracts, and travel grant
applications is THIS FRIDAY, 25TH MARCH 2016.
The GEWEX Scientific Steering Group Co-Chairs, Graeme Stephens and Sonia Seneviratne, welcome contributions to a session focused on the ocean's role in the global water cycle, its variability, and change.
The conference includes the following sessions:
- Ocean's role in the Climate System: Energy, Carbon and Water
- Climate Variability and Predictability:
Intraseasonal to Interannual, Decadal, and Centennial to Millenial
- Understanding Ocean and Climate Processes: Mixing and Stirring, Ocean and Climate Dynamics, and Upwelling and Frontal Zones
- The Ocean in a Warmer World: Climate Modes, Sea Level, and Boundary Current Systems
- Climate Information and Sustainable Development
- The Future of Climate and Ocean Science
Join the international climate community to review the state of the
science, prioritize international research plans, and form new collaborations.
Applications for travel grants, town hall proposals, poster clusters, and attendance at the Early Career Scientist Symposium (ECSS) are open.
