The seminar, "Physical Processes in Present and Future Large-Scale Models," is aimed at anyone interested in representing physical processes in models. It will give an overview of relevant issues with emphasis on the understanding, observation, and representation of processes across scales. Each process will be covered by a series of lectures in which fundamentals, parametrization, and impact of the process will be discussed. Additional topics are the role of
physical processes in data assimilation, verification, and the representation of uncertainty in ensemble systems. Register
